Dashiel Reed is a composer for media born in Santa Cruz, California.
Dashiel attended the University of the Pacific where he received degrees in composition and piano performance. In 2012 he attended the esteemed Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at the University of Southern California, where he studied all facets of the film scoring process. Through the program, Dashiel met and collaborated with many industry professionals, composers, and directors. In 2013 he was fortunate to be the sole student mentored by Emmy- and Grammy-winning composer Thomas Newman, and continues to collaborate with him.
After graduating, Dashiel worked on NBC's Siberia with composer Corey Wallace, writing additional music and orchestrating. From 2010-2012 he assisted acclaimed composer John Frizzell while working on CBS's Stalker and FOX's The Following.
Now, Dashiel works with composer Clinton Shorter in scoring CBS' Code Black, USA's Colony, and SyFy's The Expanse.
